Remove Pesticides Of Veggies And Fruits With 3 Tricks

Many chemicals are used in daily items and uses and sadly, we eat them thinking they are organic. This can cost a lot of money and trouble to find them, especially on our budget…

With that fact, we have the best cleaning ways to be healthier.

HERE..

Cold water rinse– the best and easy way is rinse with cold water and a scrub. Studies reported that 64-80% pesticides are removed with cold water. Also it was said that the heat of water makes no change for cleaning veggies. Leafy fruits and veggies need more rinses.

Water and salt soak– a bit of this salt and water mixture removes residue. This does not apply for fragile fruits but removes pesticides in the crevices. Put 2 tbsp salt  in 4 cups water, stir, and soak the produce for 30-60 min, then rinse with cold water.

Soak in vinegar– another good soak, just like salt and water and if you lack vinegar, get lemon. Fill 4 cups with water and 1with vinegar. Fruit and veggies are soaked for an hour and then rinsed with cold water. This also keeps water and food fresher too.

DIY spray– best on the go. In spray bottle, mix 1 tbsp lemon juice, 2 tbsp vinegar and 1 cup water. Rub this on the produce for 30 seconds, then rinse with cold water.

Remove outer layer– this is hard to do, but can help a lot in eating toxic areas. Peel skins, cut tops off and sections of leafy greens and lower the rate of bacteria and pesticides.

No soap– some think soap is good, but is not true. No chemicals for cleaning food! With water these chemicals can even enter the food! Avoid them.

It is not possible to remove all toxins but you can at least try. Organic is costly but best, and with our tricks you can have healthier store food.
